Everything you want to know (and maybe a few things you didn't) about our life as we just try to get through one day at a time with our two boys - Jackson and Will. This is an exciting time for our "Little" family!

Easter "Tails" and Family Time!

April has been a busy month!! Easter was a blast - we had not one but three egg hunts and had a wonderful visit with Mimi and PawPaw Bob. We also spent the day before Easter hopping through the tulips at the Dallas Arboretum. It was absolutely post-card beautiful! Jackson was mostly unimpressed with the flowers but couldn't get enough of the carpet-like green grass. He insisted on taking off his shoes and rolling around, wrestling and frolicking in it! Easter day was spent with all our family here in Dallas. Jackson and Megan played to their hearts content in the afternoon and shared burgers on Jackson's new picnic table. By the end of the day, they were the best of friends. A few days later, David and I left for South Beach, Miami, FL. This was our first trip away, just the two of us, since Jackson became a part of our Little family. It was much needed and greatly enjoyed. We spent lots of time resting and relaxing together... But we sure did miss Jackson a ton!!

It seems like Jackson grew an inch while we are gone and is now talking and communicating even more. Here's the latest on his development:

- He says "thank you" without being prompted or told. He's still doing great with his "pleases" and we are so proud of his manners.

- He came home last night and looked for the dogs (they are on vacation at Mimi's house for a month!), told me "woof, woof - all gone". It took me a minute to realize that he was looking for the girls. I guess we aren't the only ones who miss him - Jackson doesn't know what to do without his best buddies!

- He told his daddy, "I poopoo my diaper" just yesterday. Of course, don't think that means we are any closer to potty training but at least he's telling us now.
- He likes to play with his Handy Manny doll and puts him under the covers to go "night, night Manny" and puts him on his little training potty so Manny "goes poopoo". Hopefully this is good practice for him to get prepared for a new little brother or sister in November.
There's just so much more - he grows mentally and physically at such a rapid pace. Right now, he's naming all the animals on "The Animal Planet" channel for his daddy. We are amazed at this little boy everyday and I can't tell you how many times a day I thank God we have such a beautiful, healthy, smart, sweet, loving, vivacious son!

We leave for Sulphur next Wednesday so I'll try to post before or during that trip but, at this rate, I can't make promises!
